How often do you wish you had some work that was truly flexible? A locum job where you actually get to pick your hours, full time or part time, where you can do all of the write ups from home.
You may have heard of councils that are outsourcing their waiting list assessments, and that experienced Occupational Therapists are needed to work on these sorts of projects. We're looking for a really confident and experienced children's OT to work on one of these projects as we have a contract with a North London Borough to reduce their aids & adaptations waiting list. We've got a team of fantastic adult OTs already working on the project and we're looking for an equally brilliant children's Occupational Therapist to join them.
There are so many benefits to this sort of work. For one, it's extremely flexible, we have OTs working full time, part time and some just doing weekends. We do need an OT that can commit to at least 2 days of work a week but how you schedule that is down to you. The visits will need to be face to face but after that the assessments can be written up entirely from home. It's very well paid, you will be paid on a per assessment basis and depending on your availability we'd expect you to be able to do between 5 - 10 assessments per week. This work is outside of IR35 meaning you can work through your ltd company if you wish.
If you're an experienced children's OT who has previous experience with aids & adaptations (mostly minor but some simple majors), and is really confident with their report writing skills then this could be a fantastic opportunity for you.
If you're interested then please apply with a copy of your CV and I'll call you as soon as I receive your application.
